TutorIn
Peer Tutoring Marketplace
A two-sided educational marketplace connecting university student-mentors with mentees, featuring paid study groups, Midtrans payment integration, and review system.
Overview
A place for students to teach each other.
TutorIn connects university students looking for support with peers who can mentor them. The web app handles student, teacher, and admin roles; teacher verification; study groups; payments through Midtrans; and a settlement-aware enrollment interface with learning materials. Together, those flows support the journey from finding a tutor to joining a session.

A closer look
Behind the build.
Peer tutoring needs trust on both sides.
TutorIn is a web marketplace where students can find study groups led by other students. The flow has to support a learner choosing a forum, a teacher managing it, and an administrator reviewing teacher eligibility, alongside checkout and reviews.
Give each role a clear path through the product.
React screens sit on an Express and MySQL API with authenticated student, teacher, and admin routes. Teachers can create forums and upload materials; an admin can approve teacher accounts. The checkout service uses Midtrans in sandbox mode and records transaction status for course purchases.
Payment state shapes enrollment in the interface.
The frontend reveals course actions and materials when a checkout reaches settlement. In the current backend, the materials route requires sign-in but does not independently check a settled purchase. The prototype demonstrates the enrollment flow, while server-side entitlement enforcement remains work to complete.
